Compensation
The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $120,400.00 to $200,700.00.

Position Details
Reporting to the Director, Contract Operations and Compliance, you will lead and manage the people and processes related to all operational activities of the Government Compliance Team. You will develop and manage the specific programs, or large opportunities, which meet customers’ needs within Grainger policies while minimizing financial and legal risk. Collaborate across multiple functions within the organization to ensure compliance with our Government Customers requirements are understood and influence strategic planning sessions so that future programs and offers are developed with the Government Customer in mind.
You Will
• Lead at team of 6+ employees, responsible for implementing and monitoring a Federal Compliance Program. Guide the team to minimize legal and financial risk associated with all opportunities while helping Grainger secure business.
• Convert business development strategies into aligned departmental goals and tactical plans for team implementation with a plan to monitor ongoing performance.
• Use functional and Government expertise, work with partners to ensure processes best maximize the customer experience and position Grainger to remain compliant to the Government’s requirements.
• Use Continuous Improvement methodologies to improve processes that bring speed to profitable revenue growth by working on the “best” opportunities and ensure processes align to Grainger’s Sales and Sales Management processes.
• Work with aligned Sales Leaders on policy clarification when needed. Propose solutions that reside within company policy, and address overall reoccurring issues.
• Improve quality, productivity, organizational structure, processes, and lead innovation in all aspects of Government Opportunity Management.
• Lead the ongoing post deal research among customers to gather feedback on Grainger (external) and the Sales Support Team (internal) to share with the Sales Support Leadership Team.
You Have
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of management level work experience in government contracting, information technology, finance and/or pricing strategy.
• Federal contracting and government compliance experience with 48 CFR, FAR and DFAR required.
• Demonstrated leadership to manage, develop and refine the technical and leadership capabilities of employees.
• Proven experience with continuous improvement or quality procedures.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills; ability to analyze and present conclusions on business performance to stakeholders and executives.
• Demonstrated experience in setting exacting standards and expectations.
