Sr Mgr, Manufacturing Programs, Project Kuiper
Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of over 3,000 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

The Sr Manager Manufacturing Programs will lead the end-to-end Supply chain program management for Kuiper's Line Replacement Units (LRUs), ensuring seamless production execution and material readiness. This role will work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and other key stakeholders to drive manufacturing excellence and meet production targets. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a successful track record in managing complex aerospace/satellite manufacturing programs, implementing design changes, driving cost reduction initiatives, and resolving technical challenges in a high-volume production environment.

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Key job responsibilities
This role will partner with Engineering teams, Supply Chain, and Production Operations to establish and execute comprehensive game plans that drive operational excellence across Kuiper's LRU. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring material readiness and maintaining clear-to-build status for all LRU manufacturing operations while simultaneously driving yield improvements and cost reduction initiatives to meet critical affordability targets.

Through strategic coordination with cross-functional teams, they will manage the implementation of design changes and develop overlap planning strategies that maintain production continuity. The role demands strong leadership in resolving manufacturing process challenges by fostering collaboration between engineering, supply chain, and operations teams. This integrated approach ensures smooth production flow while maintaining the high-quality standards essential for satellite hardware manufacturing.
