This highly visible role reports to the Director of PM Finance and FP&A for the Automotive Americas Business Unit.  The position is a finance leadership role within the Financial Planning and Analysis and Data Analytics team.  This is a key role serving as a business partner to the Americas Automotive leadership and their functional teams across North and South America. The finance leader will have high visibility with the Auto Americas team’s executive leaders.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

 

Lead Auto Americas FP&A team Providing business insight to the Segment/Business Unit GM/CFO that aid communication of financial performance to both internal customers (Segment/Corporate) and external customers (Investor Relations) Direct Quarterly and Annual guidance forecasting process for Sales through Gross Margin as well as monthly opportunity and risk updates to the guidance forecast, along with rolling six quarter forecasting updates.   Lead forecast gap closer calls on a quarterly basis Coordinate Quarterly, Annual, and Strategic Planning process. Coordinating completion and modeling of P&L and Balance Sheet items Develop and drive strategic KPI’s for team to drive Finance excellence and TE Operating Advantage-Finance (TEOA-F) mindset, lead sales & portfolio COE team to the next level by expanding network and best practices across the enterprise (tool sharing, dashboard development, etc.) Develop Standard Margin or VCM targets by Product Line Implement automated reporting of weekly key metrics: sales, margin, OpEx, PPV, PD AR, etc Other continuous improvement activities Drive Past Due Accounts Receivable (PD AR) to improved levels. Provide analysis for Bad Debt Hold the Financial Shared Services (FSC) Accounts Receivable team and Sales teams accountable to collect and prevent past due AR Improve Monthly Go-Meeting reporting and analysis Work with FSC AR team to create relevant dashboards to improve insights on collection issues and help drive actions to collect Lead cross functional Auto Americas to work as one TEam through strong communication of due dates and clear expectations of items due.  Manage Auto Americas finance calendar; share with key functional stakeholders outside of finance (Sales, PM team, etc) Lead Data Analytics team: Drive focus on improvements in existing dashboards and prioritization of new requests Create a succession plan Implement driver-based forecasting capabilities Implement automated reporting to support TEOA-F goals  Partner with PM Finance team and SAP experts to review cost center structure to provide better financial data reporting outputs
  What your background should look like:

 

Experience:

 

5+yrs experience in a finance leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing company. 7+yrs experience in finance roles with progressive levels of responsibility. Prior FP&A responsibilities that entailed financial analysis, financial modelling, forecasting, and reporting. Motivating and managing local and remote teams with lower-level managers and individual contributors. Proven track record working effectively with senior, mid-level and junior colleagues to drive results across a broad organization. Must have the confidence, interpersonal awareness, and poise to work effectively with business and finance leaders. Efficient and works intelligently, with the initiative to identify and take on critical projects, as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously.   Business partnership in operations or commercial finance; Cross business unit/segment (global) experience is a plus

 

Knowledge:

 

Understanding of variance analysis, commercial accounting, budgeting, and planning. Understanding of financial driver and relations within a manufacturing environment and commercial matters. Understanding of Engineering, Sales / Marketing, Product Management, and HR functional needs. Experience with SAP, Hyperion, BPC, and other analytics tools.

 

Education:

 

Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting MBA preferred

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $150,000 – 225,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
