Primary Purpose PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Provide leadership and administration to numerous business activities in support of the PHI T&S Work Management organization (e.g., Operations, T&S, Tech Services). Coordinate preparation and oversight of overall budget and work plan. Develop and coordinate the implementation of strategic initiatives to drive improved performance in SAIFI, CAIDI and Customer Satisfaction. Prepare the business scorecard, key performance indicators and facilitate the management review process. Specific to PECO Technical Services Provide leadership and administration to numerous business activities in support of the PHI T&S Work Management organization organization (e.g., Operations, T&S, Gas, IT). Coordinate preparation and oversight of overall budget and work plan. Develop and coordinate the implementation of strategic initiatives to drive improved performance in SAIFI, CAIDI and Customer Satisfaction. Prepare the business scorecard, key performance indicators and facilitate the management review process. Provide leadership and manage resources required to initiate, develop, and implement new business applications, work practices job aids and procedures, including application support of the newly implemented software applications such as Mobile Dispatch and GIS.This position requires weekly travel Atlantic City, NJ, New Castle, Delaware, and Washington, D.C. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies. Primary Duties PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Responsible for managing directly or indirectly employees including work planners and work week managers, work control coordinators, construction managers and foremen, and business analysts. Ensure timely and planned work tasks provided to ensure all key performance measures can be attained in T&S. Includes setting priorities, aligning budget with work plan, scheduling, balancing system needs and construction resources, and work levelization to minimize overall costs. Scope includes scheduling of approximately $150M of work per year. (15%) Determine baseline manpower and project funding resources requirements and recommend resource decisions balancing both operational requirements and financial implications. Establish and monitor business plans and business objectives. Balance cost control with expenditures necessary for emergency response. Overall responsibility and direction for project coordination and work planning/scheduling. (10%) Coordinate the overall Capital and O& M budget. (10%) Develop and implement strategic initiatives designed to assure the highest levels of safety, productivity and customer services and achieve reliability and customer satisfaction goals. Provide overall support for alignment, consistency and success of safety, performance, reliability, and financial goals. (10%) Facilitates communication with staff. Coordinates labor strategies involving employees covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreements. Develop methods to assess communication effectiveness and implement continuous improvement initiatives. (10%) Investigate scorecard metrics performance gaps and provide remedial solutions. Coordinate intervention strategies in support of the organization. (10%) Provide input to Corporate strategies and business plans. (10%) Facilitate open and honest communication with staff. Assure that upward communication is integrated into the process, including employee concerns and complaints. Develop methods to assess communication effectiveness and implement continuous improvement initiatives. (5%) Develop and maintain an environment that fosters a high performance culture and learning organization. Leads management team in promoting diversity and inclusion. (5%) Job Scope JOB SCOPE Total Number of Direct Reports: 4 to 14 Management Total Number of Reports: 4 to 14 Management Financial Scope (Budget, Expenditures, Funding, Revenue, etc.) Coordinate Electric Operations Budget of $250-300 million. Degree of Responsibility: The job requires daily interface with Senior Leadership within Electric Operations. The overall scope includes developing and coordinating plans for significant cost savings initiatives, with full responsibility for developing and reporting the savings to the organization. The ability to work independently is considerable, and requires scheduling activities with varying levels of management, developing and coordinating the Electric Operations financial prioritizations and business results processes, major initiatives for employee programs, and developing critical contacts within Electric Operations, as well as a variety of external organizations and consultants. Expectation is to make key decisions affecting the performance reporting, savings tracking, and employee activities. The position is highly visible and the ability to influence and build relationships across the organization, into the work force, and among the leadership team is critical. This position requires weekly travel Atlantic City, NJ, New Castle, Delaware, and Washington, D.C. Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field AND 10 or more years of related experience, including at least 4 years of managerial or supervisory experience, OR in lieu of bachelor's degree, 14 or more years of related experience is required. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of electric distribution systems. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process enhancements and efficiencies. Proven leadership ability in a high performance culture. Proven high-level management skills in coaching and developing business skills. Proven performance management skills. Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and foster culture change. Demonstrated business acumen, customer awareness and ability to create value. Preferred Qualifications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Graduate Degree or Graduate level work in Engineering, Business Administration or related field. Project Management experience. Benefits Annual salary will vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: USD $142,400.00/Yr. - USD $213,600.00/Yr.
