Job Description:
This job is responsible for managing large projects for an operations department or Line of Business. Key responsibilities include directing the research of existing operations, procedures, workflow, product, and service requirements and managing the analysis of assembled data to define problems, including cost/benefit analysis and scope of the project. Job expectations include overseeing end-to-end project status, project health, mitigation, and timely escalation and working directly with senior management to set and maintain strategic project direction.
Line of Business Job Description:
The Global Payment Operations (GPO) organization delivers global wire transfers and ACH payments for internal and external bank clients and supports end-to-end payment execution and investigations for transactions initiated through various channels. The team also provides sanctions screening on transactions for multiple products, in accordance with policies established by the Global Economic Sanctions Compliance team.
The GPO Sr Operations Project Manager provides consulting expertise to the GPO organization in support of operations excellence and change initiatives, ensuring execution of all operational readiness tasks. You will play a fundamental and influential role in helping to drive our GPO roadmap which focuses on delivering one function, one process and one platform for Sanctions Centers of Excellence within GPO while delivering all product, technology and/or operations sponsored projects within Sanctions space. This role requires a thorough knowledge of the operations area where you will be able to assess and analyze the impact of new initiatives globally across GPO (specifically in Sanctions space).
Responsibilities:
Determines testing methods needed for assigned projects, educates resources, partners with all testing teams engaged, and analyzes reporting and assembled data to define problemsManages and directs project parameters, costs, project testing execution, resource allocation, and cost/benefit analysisPartners with operations management on creating project impact and providing direction and guidance to internal teamsCoordinates development of key project deliverables in partnership with various key internal and external business partnersManages and leads the execution of multiple and often competing priorities to meet deadlines and adhere with policies and proceduresEstablishes project status routines and tracks critical path deadlines and overall business measures for successOversees defect resolution and roadblock clearing efforts to enable successful completion of testingDriving decision making across Technology, Sanctions Operations, and Global Financial CrimesActing as the primary point of contact and integration for operations across multiple projectsDriving the end-to-end integration of various work streams to deliver the intended project solution, including requirements gathering, data mapping, project execution, integration, and implementationManaging the creation of Jira stories; ensuring the documentation from requirements to implementation meet the enterprise change standards maintaining traceabilityDirecting the work efforts of resources that may be functionally aligned as part of the projectManaging the project scope, timeline, and budget/expensesLeading risk management and mitigation planning readiness, change adoption, stakeholder management, and quality assuranceImplementing Artificial Intelligence capabilities to complement existing sanctions applications and operations processesEnsuring all applicable change requirements are satisfied
Required Qualifications:
