The suite of equipment includes assorted styles and types of laser cavities and components. Solve intricate technical challenges. Lead projects. Mentors junior engineers and contributes to industry advancements. Seeking an experienced laser engineer to lead the design of a state-of-the-art optical parametric chirped pulse amplification (OPCPA) system for the NSF OPAL design project awarded to the University of Rochester at the Laboratory for Laser Energetics (UR/LLE). The project will design a new, world-leading, high-power laser user facility with two 25-PW lasers coupled to OMEGA EP to achieve and study extreme physical conditions.
