Sr Oracle HCM Application Developer
**About the Role** Sr Applications Developer at Business Technology Engineering, People Technology, will be responsible to manage SaaS applications that power various functional areas within the HR Domain. This role involves driving the technology and business processes of our People Team, providing tools and analysis to support various groups in Uber HR. This role also acts as a subject matter expert, and be a key resource for projects that include rolling out new functionality, implementing business process solutions, and providing end-user training. The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong background in Oracle HCM Cloud and be able to serve as SME for application development and configuration across functional areas like Core HR, Recruitment, Onboarding functional within Oracle HCM Cloud. Additionally, This candidate should demonstrate excellent time-management and organizational habits, and the ability to communicate clearly and present information. This role will be part of the Global People Technology team consisting of engineering managers, solution architects, program managers, Application Developers, Data & Integration Engineers, and Software Engineers. ## What You'll Do - Manage system enhancement and modification to meet business needs within the Oracle HCM Cloud - Provide product support by addressing business requests quickly and accurately. - As a technology expert, advise the business on the right technical solutions and recommend best practices to complement the overall approach. ‌Understand the downstream impacts of these solutions and guide the business accordingly. - Lead special projects and ad hoc analyses to evaluate new initiatives, products, risks, and opportunities. - Provide expertise on Oracle HCM configurations and extensibility to stakeholders and peers - Manage security administration, including process and security configuration - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and implement process, system, and reporting improvements. - Maintain strong documentation of system configurations and solutions in line with Uber standards - Manage projects end-to-end, ensuring coverage of various phases like design, testing, and user enablement - Demonstrate excellent analytical, problem-solving, and operational skills to evolve the application strategy based on research, data, and industry trends - Stay adaptable by learning new technologies to meet changing business needs - Work with global and remote teams and stakeholders **Basic Qualifications:** - 8+ years of Oracle HCM Cloud experience as Application developer across Core HR, Recruitment, Onboarding functional areas within Oracle HCM Cloud - Deep knowledge of Oracle HCM cloud capabilities, configurability, and extensibility to meet complex requirements - Proven experience of working across at least 2 end-to-end HR transformation projects on Oracle HCM cloud - Strong understanding of Oracle HCM Fusion Cloud implementation methodologies. - Hands-on experience configuring and building solutions across multiple Oracle HCM Cloud functional areas. - Excellent problem-solving skills for troubleshooting multi-platform technical issues. - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. - Strong communication and relationship-building skills. - Experience using JIRA, Lucidchart, and other project management tools. - Eagerness to work on complex problems and learn new technologies **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience on non-Oracle systems like Workday, Service NOW etc. - Knowledge of the overall HR technology ecosystem, including 3rd-party Talent Acquisition, Benefits, and Payroll vendors - Expertise in working on other functional areas (Time & Absence, Payroll, etc.) and Integrations/Technical components - Certifications on Oracle HCM/Fusion cloud Implementation on relevant areas for this role For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$171,000 per year - USD$190,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
