About the Team

The Workforce and Workplace Management (WWM) team in the Division of Supervision and Regulation aligns workforce development strategies and talent management programs with the strategic plans and priorities of the Division and Federal Reserve Board. The team serves as consultants to senior leaders regarding matters related to talent management, workforce planning strategies and implementation plans for section specific, Division, and Federal Reserve System initiatives.

About the Role

The WWM team is seeking a year-round graduate student intern to help support and manage several projects, research and work related to workforce analytics in the Division of Supervision Regulation. The intern will work closely with section staff and management to research, ingest, and interpret data sets relating to the workforce and talent management.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist with data extraction, cleaning, and preparation;

• Assist with development of data visualizations in Tableau;

• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques;

• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy;

• And work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.

Over the course of the internship, the student will:

• Gain experience in working with multiple data sources and databases;

• And have the opportunity to learn more about people analytics and workplace culture.

Requirements

Suggested Major/Education: Must be a first-year graduate student, or entering their first year pursuing a graduate degree in an Industrial Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Data or Computer Science Program, or closely related graduating in May 2026 or later

Has an undergraduate degree in any of the following areas: psychology, mathematics, statistics, or computer science

Required Skills/Knowledge:

The Facility Business Operations team is responsible for providing cutting edge facilities technology, efficient business processes, and a world-class sustainability program. The sustainability specialist intern will be exposed to all aspects of the Board’s sustainability program. The intern will work with the team to review design and construction of capital construction projects, perform greenhouse gas calculations, develop projects and policies to support the sustainability program, analyze sustainability data, develop presentations, lead initiatives, and contribute to communication campaigns.

The Planning and Space Management section at the Federal Reserve is seeking a year round intern to assist in its multiple projects and workload. The main duties and tasks will include, but not limited to

• Prepare design intent drawings for minor office reconfigurations using Revit
• Maintain updated floor plans using Revit and FM Systems
• Assist in preparing the Board's Revit models to be incorporated in the new Space Planning software FMI.
• Assist in uploading and setting up the Board's space inventory into FMI, edit/audit drawings for accuracy
• Perform space surveys, document existing conditions and develop space plan solutions on an ongoing basis.
• Manage small furniture relocations including entering and following up on work orders.
• Manage in field furniture installation logistics and vendor coordination and perform punch lists

The Public Information Outreach (PIO) Program is responsible for leading the division’s efforts to execute public communication initiatives to expand the Board’s outreach and to build and sustain various communication platforms to educate and inform the public including management of the Board’s public website and social media platforms. The intern would be responsible for assisting section staff with daily web publication responsibilities as well as assisting with larger web design projects and with coordinating online public communications. Staff would work on reviewing and approving web content for publication, which includes coordinating posting details with content providers, IT support, and Board Public Affairs. The intern may work on section 508 compliance for content posted on the Board's public website. The intern would also participate in the work of the section on the Board's official social media accounts, including writing posts for social media and researching new platforms and trends.The intern would also contribute to Economic Education programs and event planning, outreach, and engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities

· With extensive guidance, performs data analysis to ensure the quality (conformity, consistency, completeness, accuracy, and timeliness) of financial data, banking structure data, survey data, contextual information data, and business data used for monetary, supervisory, research, and organizational decision-making purposes.

This position is for the IT Monetary and Research Reports unit within Board IT Statistics whose main responsibility is supporting a varied portfolio of data collections used for monetary and fiscal policy. The IT Monetary and Research Reports unit is part of the Federal Reserve’s Statistics Function – a national business line that collects financial, banking structure, survey, and business data and provides data management services to ensure information is fit for use. New employees may participate in a local Board IT Statistics rotation program that would provide the employee an in-depth engagement with all Board IT Statistics units to develop their knowledge and expertise of the Statistics business line. A new employee’s exposure and engagement within Board IT Statistics would ensure a thorough knowledge and understanding of Board Statistics’ processes and procedures for providing services to stakeholders, performing program management support, and directing the national business line.

The Statistics Data Management Analyst is responsible for performing financial and structure data analysis for financial institution reported data. The analyst is responsible for implementing new data collections and managing changes to existing data collections, which includes developing quality assurance checks and methodologies, drafting business operational procedures, providing written business requirements for automation tools and testing the business requirements, and recommending improvements/ enhancements to the data collection and/or data collection processes. Thorough understanding of information processing issues and environments (e.g., distributed and web), and good knowledge of various software such as SAS, SQL, Tableau, Python, R, and Microsoft Excel are desirable. Thorough understanding of analytical techniques involved in financial data analysis such as ratio analysis, peer analysis, trend analysis, and statistical modeling is desired. Maintaining awareness of evolving information processing technologies and financial industry trends through professional publications and outside contacts is required.

This position is hybrid, requiring a combination of telework and in-office presence in Washington, DC.

High school diploma or equivalent experience. Must possess five (5) years of specific experience. Comprehensive knowledge of methods, techniques, materials, tools, and equipment of the painting trade is required. Knowledge of residential and commercial/industrial practices and processes of the painting trade; extensive knowledge of paints, varnishes, lacquers, enamels, epoxies, paint removers, and related materials, and of their properties and application; applicable code requirements; methods and practices followed in the maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment; occupational hazards of the painting trade and precautionary measures to be observed. Must be skilled in mixing paints, stains and matching colors. Must possess general ability to read blueprints. Must know how to safely erect scaffolds. Must possess Visual Color Discrimination skills and be able to accurately match or detect differences among colors, including shades of color and brightness. Must be able to interact and display tact and diplomacy at all levels within the Board staff. Must show a demonstrable commitment to a strong customer service philosophy.

Performs a full range of duties without close supervision. Independently carries out assignments and coordinates the work with others. Must possess the ability to inspect and troubleshoot problems and take the necessary actions as needed. Uses technical knowledge and experience to identify, plan, and execute work to be done. Provides guidance to team members on technical issues. Determines methods and approaches to problem resolution.

Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members (including any apprentices) in all areas of the job. This includes demonstrating proper work methods, answering questions from co-workers regarding procedures, work orders, policies, written instructions and other directions, and assuring adherence to appropriate safety procedures. Perform the more technically difficult work of the section. The ideal candidate is skilled in drywall finishing up to level five finishes.


Physical Demand/Work Environment:
Prepares and coats surfaces from ladders, scaffolds, and platforms, and where the surfaces to be coated are in hard-to-reach places. Work requires considerable bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts, carries, and sets up materials and equipment that weigh up to 10 pounds. Occasionally, handle materials and equipment that weigh 50 pounds and over. Therefore, must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking. Work is done inside and outside and may be in confined spaces such as crawl spaces and attics, where dirt, spray, and fumes are usually present and where moderate to high noise levels from operating equipment may be present. Required to prepare and coat surfaces outside in all weather conditions. Subject to cuts, abrasions, and contusions.

This position will work second shift from 2:00-10:00 pm is required to work onsite in Washington DC.
