Performs multiple legal tasks in support of attorneys including legal research, document preparation, and locating witnesses and evidence. Conducts moderately complex research and analyzes law sources, such as statutes and judicial decisions. Prepares standard agreements and corporate documents, assists with corporate filings and maintains corporate records.
Job Duties
Performs moderate level legal research and analyzes law sources for counsel, such as statutes and judicial decisions. Assists in factual investigations and compiles data from various resources.
. Prepares standard agreements and corporate documents. Drafts letters, inter- office memos and other general correspondence.
Assists with corporate and trademark filings, under supervision of counsel or Corporate Secretary.
Prepares, maintains and organizes corporate records and minute books, at the direction of Corporate Secretary.
Assists counsel and the Corporate Secretary on various matters, which may include litigation support, file maintenance and general administrative support of office functions. May advise company personnel on routine matters.
Uses initiative and discretion in accomplishing routine assignments with minimum supervision.
Usually engages in a variety of tasks ranging from routine to those calling for some judgment and limited independent initiative.
Qualifications
Bachelors Equivalent combination of education and experience
4-6 years Paralegal Required
Proven legal research skills required
Advanced experience in drafting and reviewing routine contracts and other common corporate documents required
Excellent organizational, writing and communication skills required
Strong attention to detail required
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously required
Ability to handle confidential information and exercise discretion required
Excellent interpersonal skills required
Advanced knowledge of standard IBM PC applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook required
Proven ability to achieve high service quality results as well as meet productivity levels required
The starting pay range for this position is:
$31.76 - $42.34Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
