Position Specific Description
NextEra Energy Resources is seeking a highly motivated and energetic engineer to join our PGD Wind Reliability team located at our PGA Office in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. As a reliability engineer, you will join a team of engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to participate in projects and processes to optimize wind turbine fleet performance, increase reliability, and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will be able to operate independently, creatively solve complex technical issues, be comfortable with statistical data-analytics, manage their time across multiple projects, develop/mentor their teammates, and communicate effectively across organizational stakeholders at all levels. Responsibilities:
Analyze equipment data and develop statistical models to predict equipment failure and improve maintenance strategies Automate tasks and analytics through code (preferably python) Identify opportunities to standardize and proceduralize our analytical processes Properly document tasks and projects so they can be shared and replicated across the business Report and present findings to the team and leadership Prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines Develop and maintain equipment maintenance procedures, standards, and guidelines Provide technical support to cross-functional teams on equipment reliability and maintenance-related issues Participate in training for operations and maintenance personnel on equipment reliability, maintenance strategies, and best practices Maintain compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and policies Provides coaching, mentoring, and direction to cross-functional teammates – especially on continuous improvement projects Conducts internal and external research to stay aware of new development, innovative advancements, and emerging technologies pertaining to technical areas of expertise Support engineering projects, initiatives, and event responses as needed Performs other job-related duties as assigned Job OverviewEmployees in this role have responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments.
