Job Summary Schedule: Days The Senior Phlebotomist works independently, organizing work for the department. Can manage tasks assigned by the Supervisor such as scheduling, workload recording, or problem solving and acts in the best interest of the department. The Senior Phlebotomist should be viewed as a mentor to the other phlebotomists in the department. Employee will be proficient in some or all of the following: patient identification, phlebotomy, sweat chloride testing, arterial blood collection, point of care testing on multiple platforms, EKG tracings, patient registration. Employee may be asked to document proficiency of other department personnel. Employee will take a lead role in training. May be asked to participate in or provide input for the evaluation process of personnel and teaming activities. #READ Qualifications Education Requirements Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role. Post High School Diploma Program - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Post High School Diploma Program Experience Relevant Experience Certification and Licensure If role requires the use of a hospital owned vehicle, a valid driver's license with appropriate driving record is required.
