Sr Power BI Developer
Job Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Developer with expertise in Labor Analytics reporting to drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain insightful dashboards and reports that support data-driven decisions in both labor and financial functions. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, advanced Power BI expertise, and the ability to turn business requirements into actionable insights while working with large datasets. You will collaborate with business owners to create a foundational financial value model that calculates the impact of implemented improvements over time. This model will highlight changes in KPIs and metrics, provide visibility into their movement, and generate actionable feedback to help identify the reasons behind these changes. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and optimizing interactive Power BI dashboards and reports focused on labor and financial performance metrics, transforming complex datasets into intuitive visualizations. You will conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and anomalies in labor and financial reporting, collaborating with business leaders to ensure alignment with organizational and project goals. Additionally, you will create and maintain efficient data models using Power BI tools such as Power Query, DAX, and M functions while ensuring data accuracy through ETL processes and thorough validation. You will work closely with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to understand data needs, translating business requirements into technical specifications and reporting solutions. Key performance monitoring responsibilities include developing KPIs to track labor utilization, financial performance, budget adherence, and cost optimization. The role also involves automating and scheduling recurring reports for timely delivery of insights and ensuring seamless system integration with various data sources, including ERP, HRIS, financial systems, and cloud-based platforms. Finally, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the reporting infrastructure to ensure it scales with evolving business needs. Skills and Requirements Preferred: Experience with predictive analytics and AI in Power BI; certifications in Power BI, Azure, or related technologies; knowledge of compliance and reporting requirements in financial and labor domains. Experience: 4+ years as a Power BI Developer, specializing in HR, labor, and financial reporting. Strong understanding of financial concepts, labor metrics, and business operations. Proficient in data models, DAX expressions, and Power Query. Technical Skills: Advanced Power BI knowledge; experience with SQL, data warehousing, and integrating diverse data sources. Familiarity with financial and labor management systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, SAP). Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
