This individual will direct and coordinate fabrication, installation, operation, application, maintenance, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, engines, and systems. Ensure that quality levels and industry standards are maintained or improved in the manufacturing process. Oversee installation, operation, maintenance and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water and steam systems. Evaluate mechanical products to determine their cost effectiveness and efficiency. May evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions. IPT Lead for Mechanical Engineering team support development of mechanical components and subsystems for Solid Rocket Motors to include the case, liner, nozzle, igniter, case and system assembly and test. Evaluate designs for incremental improvement to ensure requirements are met.
Major Position Responsibilities Applies engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment.Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. Confers with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.Researches and analyzes customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.Specifies system components or directs modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.Investigates equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.

Pay Range (USD) $116/k-$216/k Pay Transparency Statement The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process. Additional Compensation - ICP Hired applicant will be eligible to participate in the Company’s Incentive Compensation Program.
