Launch Vehicle has an opening for a Sr. Principal Data Insight Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Chandler, Arizona.
Northrop Grumman is looking for a Tableau/SQL Business Intelligence Developer to join the Finance Systems Team in the Launch Vehicles business unit. The Finance Systems Team oversees a SQL Server with connections to various data sources and creates Tableau dashboards to support Launch Vehicles Finance goals and objectives. Our team works with business users to determine business needs; determines the data necessary to fulfill those needs; connects to the required data sources within the SQL Server; maintains those data connections and tests to ensure reliability and speed; creates Tableau dashboards to provide insights to users; and trains users on effective use of the visualizations. In addition, our team oversees a hub of SharePoint Online sites that utilize Power Apps and Power Automate to manage request collection and approvals.
In this job, you will:
SQL Server
Prepare data for use by Tableau, including establishing connections to data sources, and developing SQL Database Views and SQL Stored Procedures
Control access via Active Directory groups
Data Visualization
Design and develop interactive Tableau dashboards and reports that are easy to understand and provide meaningful insights
Implement best practices for data visualization and dashboard design
Troubleshoot data or performance issues with workbooks and data sources
Train other users on creating and/or using dashboards

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of professional experience in accounting, Information Systems, or a related field or experience– OR – Master’s degree with 6+ years of professional experience in accounting, Information Systems, or a related field or experience
Understanding of accounting and general business practices/reporting to be able to translate business needs to visualization solutions
Knowledge and experience working with business intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, or other visualization applications
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with a variety of customers
No clearance required to start
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with database management and ETL (SQL Server and SSIS experience a plus)
Experience with SharePoint Online, Power Automate and Power Apps a plus
Operational knowledge of engineering and business environments
Defense Industry experience

Salary Range: $107,800.00 - $161,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
