We are looking for you to join our team as a Navigation Warfare (NavWar) Digital Signal Processing Engineer (NavWar Team Lead) based out of Beavercreek, OH. Engineers here are part of multi-disciplinary program teams implementing next-generation navigation warfare products critical to US customers and allies. Team members conduct all phases of these programs, including requirements generation, hardware-selection, software development, and system integration and test. We are seeking engineers with the desire to learn new technologies to join our innovative organization to help develop, enhance, and maintain DSP designs on cutting edge products and systems.

The ideal candidate will have exposure to:

Design of NAVWAR technologies, including characterization of platform dynamics, environmental/interference effects, and jamming mitigation techniques with regards to GPS processingAnti-jam GPS processing techniques and analysis (such as nulling, STAP, SFAP, SFAP-T, differential GPS)Algorithms associated with satellite acquisition, tracking, and receiver measurement formationHands-On experience with RF/Antenna electronicsFamiliarity with integrated INS/GPS navigation systems involving exposure to Kalman filtering / estimation theory

What you will be involved in:

Development and evaluation of A/J (Anti-Jam), GPS Denied environment technologies.Provide technical guidance and monitoring for activities focused on simulation modeling and analysis of NAVWAR processing and performanceCharacterization of DSP (Digital Signal Processing) in relevant environmentsAnalysis of GPS navigation performance in laboratory and flight test scenariosInterface with relevant customers/stakeholdersCommunication of status, issues, and results with program management and customersWork with a team of navigation warfare experts in a team-based collaborative environment dedicated to advancing the state of the artApply your research and development skills to architect real-world products and capabilities well beyond purely academic or theoreticalWork with leading-edge navigation warfare (NavWar) systems, techniques, algorithms, and software to enhance mission success in contested environmentsPresent your ideas to internal and external groups; lead proposal activities; and represent Northrop Grumman at technical conferences and working groups

Basic Qualifications:

BS degree in Electrical, Computer or related Engineering discipline with 8 years of experience; or MS Degree in Electrical, Computer or related Engineering discipline with 6 years of experience; or PhD in Electrical, Computer or related Engineering discipline with 4 years of experience.Demonstrated experience with signal processing algorithmsDemonstrated experience leading technical teamsUS Citizenship is requiredClearance: Candidate must have or be able to obtain an Interim Secret clearance or higher prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated understanding of Digital Control TheoryExperience leading technical teamsProficient with MATLAB with a digital signal processing focusProficient in C/C++, embedded SW design in Linux/UNIX and RTOS environmentsExperience with GPS and EW signal processing algorithmsExperience with RF receiver development, including system link budget and sensitivity analysis, ADC and receiver noise analysis, and baseband conversion and processingDigital design experience and FPGA development experience in VHDLExperience with GNU Radio or software-defined radiosActive Top Secret security clearanceProven skills to include: team leadership, mentoring others, communicating with all levels of an organization internally and externally, being adaptable, creative, collaborative and also comfortable working independently and enjoys solving difficult problems

This position is contingent on funding and approval.

Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
