A Day in the Life:
As a Sr. Product Designer for Hertz Fleet Management, you will be responsible for leading the product development of our electric vehicle digital products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams with project managers and product owners to ensure that our digital products are strategically driven, user-friendly, efficient, and reliable. You will be responsible for being the voice of the users, managing and communicating user feedback, and designing user interfaces/experiences that meet our business objectives and customer needs.
You will also be responsible for leading and mentoring more junior designers within your team to monitor and ensure the development of consistent user experience across the Fleet UX product family.
What You’ll Do:
Own the product end-to-end user experience, from the big picture (owning the overall user experience and consistency across an entire product) down to specifics of UI layout. Lead the product design and user experience of Hertz's electric vehicle digital products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product management, engineering, and data science to solve complex problems and ensure the highest quality solutions. Collaborate with UX researchers to understand user needs and behaviours and develop research plans and collaboration models. Work with developers to ensure the user interface is functional and meets design specifications. Engage with the field to understand and empathise with their experiences, both good and bad; from employees engaging with the vehicle and our customers at Hertz locations, to management and directors. Identify and evaluate potential opportunities to improve existing products. Create wireframes, prototypes, and user interfaces for Hertz's electric vehicle digital products Conduct user research to test features and incorporate user feedback into design iterations. Communicate designs – create meaningful UX deliverables such as storyboards, sitemaps, wireframes, flowcharts, prototypes and presentations that help the team understand what to build and why. Partner closely with your fellow Product Designers and Researchers to establish operational structures and best practices across our entire design team. Stay up to date with current design trends and technology advancements related to electric vehicle digital products.
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your design skills. Strong portfolio showcasing previous design work on digital products, preferably in the automotive industry Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies. Strong knowledge of research and design tools such as Mural, Figma, InVision, Dovetail, Survey Monkey, Google Forms. Experience leading design projects and mentoring junior designers. A passion for solving complex design problems and creating user-centred experiences. Experience using quantitative and qualitative research to inform design iteration. Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.We expect the starting salary to be around $100,000 with annual bonus and profit sharing eligibility. The actual salary will be determined based on years of relevant work experience
