Sr Product Manager, Fresh

This position is based in Temple, TX, which will require the candidate to report and work from the office on a regular basis. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute commute to Temple,TX.

The Sr Product Manager, Fresh will develop and implement Fresh food brands for convenience store customers. Work closely with manufacturers and vendors to curate a wide range of food programs. Collaborate with several departments to ensure branding is communicated throughout the organization. Drive sales and desired messaging for the brands.

Essential Job Functions:

Lead the development and implementation of food programs for convenience store customers.Collaborate with manufacturers and vendors to curate a diverse selection of fresh food offerings.Manage a revolving calendar of innovation with multiple partners in relation to core menu and LTO strategy.Work closely with customer operations to ensure seamless execution and optimal customer experience.Manage financial aspects of the McLane Fresh owned food categories, including budgeting, cost control, and pricing strategies.Negotiate contracts with vendors and maintain strong relationships with key partners.Stay updated on industry trends and market demands to drive innovation and continuous improvement.Provide guidance and support to the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.Conduct regular market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and customer preferences.Represent the company professionally during interactions with manufacturers, customers, and stakeholders.Travel as required to meet with manufacturers, customers, and attend industry conferences and events.Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Proven experience in developing and implementing successful fresh or food programs.Strong knowledge and passion for food, including pizza, commissary, chicken, and fresh snacks. Five or more years private label industry exposure is required at a category management level to include packaging, compliance retail execution. Creative mindset with the ability to think creatively and bring innovative ideas to the table.Strong project and time management skills.Exceptional verbal and report presentation abilities.Have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.Willingness to travel as necessary to meet with manufacturers, customers, and attend industry events.

Office environment.20% travel will be required.
