SCOT's Automated Inventory Management (AIM) Planning team is seeking a Sr. Product Manager, Tech who enjoys the challenge of defining and delivering Product Roadmap in a complex, ambiguous and high impact domain. Our team owns forecasting Amazon's inventory levels and corresponding cube requirements, which helps drive high stakes business operations decisions such as labor and FC planning. In this role, you will own AIM Inventory Planning roadmap and system improvements to improve accuracy and drive automation of the forecasting workflow. Our products, services and engineering solutions are centered around forecasting and economic optimization using advanced statistics, machine learning, and operations research. As such, you will work closely with Scientists and Engineers to build scalable products to enable top-notch Amazon global retail inventory efficiency strategy within our rapidly growing, dynamic business and influence Amazon's inventory management decisions on a day-to-day basis.
Key job responsibilities
• Own requirement gathering, product vision development, launch roadmap, prioritization and post-launch support
• Partner with Software, Data and Business Intelligence Engineers to design products and systems using AWS technologies
• Define strategy and build the road map for scaling AIM Planning products to WW marketplaces
• Research, develop, document, and present new strategies to enhance product features tailored to local marketplace needs
• Develop metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall health of products
• Own local business reviews to understand trends, develop action plans, and impact of decisions driven by our product outputs
• Collaborate with and influence a wide set of stakeholders, providing thought leadership, product expertise, and business insight.
• Dive deep to create insights on how well Amazon is taking care of the customer as it relates to product availability and inventory levels
• Drive changes through insights to improve a wide range of internal products that impact planning, buying and sourcing.
• Interface with cross-functional teams to build centralized tools that will allow for rapid defect detection and repair.
