Sr Product Manager – Tech, Global Occupancy Planning, GREF – Global Portfolio Strategy & Planning
Description The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is looking for a technical product manager (PMT) to build new tech tools and improve upon existing systems. GREF is responsible for creating the spaces that inspire Amazonians to make history. The globally diverse team manages Amazon’s corporate offices in more than 60 countries. GREF provides real estate transactions expertise, business partnering, space and occupancy planning, design and construction, capital investment program management, facility maintenance, and operations all contributing to the employee experience and leveraging places and programs to enable culture to thrive at Amazon. In this role, you will have the opportunity to own the end-to-end product development for GREF’s internal planning tooling and services. You will drive software product strategy, collaborate cross-functionally to develop and launch new products, and maintain ownership over product requirements, backlog, and planning. This high visibility role will impact the success of the GREF organization and directly impact business partners across the company. The position requires strong customer centric strategic planning, analytical skills, problem solving, and excellent communication skills. You will dive deep into portfolio planning and product development within space allocation, and work collaboratively with technical teams to create iterative software solutions to benefit customers across the company. A track record of delivering results in a fast paced, dynamic environment is a must. Being self-driven, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities is a key to success. This role is a great fit for someone who is sensitive to the diverse perspectives of stakeholders and works with them to resolve differences. Key job responsibilities • Research customer needs • Develop differentiated product strategy, vision, and roadmap • Work collaboratively with Engineering, UI/UX on product definition and features implementation • Work closely with all stakeholders to optimize the launch plan for a new product • Manage designing and implementing a customer solution that is simple and trustworthy • Understand user patterns with usage data in a rapidly changing environment • Establish metrics and key performance indicators for success • Develop product and solution requirements, working backwards from the customer Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience - Bachelor's degree - Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product - Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition - Experience with end to end product delivery - Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product - Experience managing technical products or online services - Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning Preferred Qualifications - Strong analytical skills to understand and solve complex business problems - Ability to work in a highly ambiguous and rapidly changing environment; willingness to roll up your sleeves and pitch in wherever necessary - Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholder teams across Amazon, including Tech, Product, and Business teams Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
