The Senior Product Manager is a key leader within the North American residential business unit, specifically responsible for setting the long-term product category direction to drive both growth and profitability through the product portfolio. 

Responsibilities:

Develops and implements product portfolio strategies that provide industry leadership and profitable growthManages all products in assigned portfolio throughout all stages of the product life cycle Develops strategies for development, introduction, continuing contribution, and discontinuation while maximizing overall growth and profitability within the P&L Executes and maintains a 3-year product roadmap that guides new product development efforts Leads cross-functional efforts and defines product requirements with the new product development management team to execute againstCreate and maintain business cases related to all aspect of the portfolio such new product introductions, product discontinuations and cannibalization of productsMonitors current, and anticipates future, consumer and customer needs and preferences by working closely with Sales and Market Intelligence  Steers engineering and manufacturing activities in regard to new product or new technology development and portfolio maintenance activitiesOversees price logic within given product portfolio (both new and existing products) through competitive insights, internal data analysis and sales interactions Provides inputs and recommendations on pricing strategies that enhance portfolio profitability Supports development of annual operating and marketing plans in alignment with Sales and Marketing teamsAssists in the development of promotional plans, advertising campaigns, catalogs, brochures, displays, exhibits and other support materials Provides guidance on forecasting - particularly as it pertains to new, discontinued or promotional products Maintains on-going competitive intelligence to guide pricing, promotions, field activity, customer service and product development Relates and recommends changes in established market distribution and strategy as necessitated by market and consumer preferences Supports interpretation of codes and compliance information and the distribution of that information to the sales organization and customers Provide product support to Sales as needed (i.e. customer calls/visits, sales enablement content support and creation) Seeks legal advice from corporate counsel to ensure propriety of pricing mechanism, trademarks, product labeling, policies and contractual agreementsDemonstrates competency in the Owens Corning values 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Possess understanding of frameworks needed to manage a product line across all stages of the product life cycleAbility to manage 1-2 peopleFlexible and able to deal with ambiguityAble to think strategically while also enjoying tactical execution of programsAnalytical and creative problem solverStrong on planning and attention to detailStrong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft project or similar platform preferredPossess strong skills in written and oral communication with all levels of internal management and outside stakeholders

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required; Masters degree preferredMinimum of 5-10 years business experience, with 3-5 years relevant experience in product management preferred (or other related marketing or sales experience) Understands the framework of managing a product portfolio across all stages of the product life cycle'Capable of managing a team of 1-3 people Drives accountability cross-functionally and within projectsAbility to think strategically while also enjoying tactical execution of programs Has the determination to grow within a given role and within the organizationAnalytical and creative problem solver  Flexible and able to deal with ambiguity Strong on planning and attention to detail Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills Strong written and oral communication skills amongst all levels of internal management and outside stakeholders Travel ~25% for customer visits and line reviews, trade shows, manufacturing plants and other business needs  #LI-DB1 #LI-HYBRID
