The Human Genotyping Technical Sales Specialist (GT TSS) will concentrate on expanding our Human genotyping presence across various genotyping platforms and customer segments, with a primary focus on Axiom product lines. The GT TSS will promote the adoption of our genotyping solutions in academic, industrial, and pharmaceutical markets. The candidate will collaborate closely with marketing and global business partners to allocate resources and prioritize forecasted opportunities.

This role is remote and can be based in any major city in the Midwest. Proximity to a major airport is critical.

A Day in the Life:Develop and be responsible for an annual Territory Plan and quarterly business plans to meet or exceed financial targets in markets requiring a genotyping solution.Understand customer goals, priorities, and challenges in the human genotyping and PGx sector to provide solutions tailored to their needs.Focus on the growth of the human genotyping business through the successful acquisition of new accounts, business, and key opinion leaders (KOLs).Consistently and accurately handle the sales process, including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking using CRM systems and designated IT tools.Align with internal business partners and product management to identify, drive, and close sales and prioritize projects and resources.Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of our human market space, products, and purchasing practices required to effectively operate in the assigned territory.Align with company quality management systems, policies, and procedures.

Keys to success:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related Life Science field; or equivalent knowledge and experience in Genetic Science.A Master’s or PhD degree is desirable.

Experience:5+ years of sales experience required, and a successful track record in genomics highly preferred.Experience in selling to executive leadership (C-suite and Industrial VP’s R&D Directors).Expect approximately 40-50% travel by car, train, and airplane.Valid driver’s license in good standing.
