Position Summary: The Sr. Production Supervisor will be responsible for meeting production forecasts and driving continuous improvement through the manufacturing process. They will provide hands-on support, and direction to the operations team. This role will ensure quality and safety of the operation while driving continuous improvement of manufacturing. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for production including daily production planning, delivery to plan, production cost, safety, quality targets, and production staffing. Maintain high product quality, safety and yield while ensuring optimal cost, use of resources and adherence to best safety practices. Maintain the facility and equipment in optimal operating conditions through implementation of a preventative maintenance system and taking appropriate corrective actions where needed. Hire, coach, lead and develop large scale teams made up of salaried and hourly team members. Support upgrades, new product, and material introductions by supporting design teams, creating process plans, tracking budget costs and project schedules, and developing countermeasures for timely completion of project goals. Drive safety and environmental compliance. Drive high quality standards in everything we do such as process control systems, monitoring and managing key product metrics, consistency in documentation, and 5S initiatives. Develop and deliver continuous improvement initiatives in safety, environmental, quality, cost, efficiency, and productivity objectives. Provide feedback to management on issues, benchmark other organizations for best practices. Collaborate across boundaries for the best outcome by working with Maintenance, EHS and Quality departments. Additional duties as assigned. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience. 5+ yrs. of experience in high-volume, high-speed manufacturing; additional 3+ years leadership or equivalent. Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills: Able to effectively communicate verbally and written in English. An organized problem solver, able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Team oriented with strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated conflict resolution skills. Intermediate proficiency with JDE. Physical Requirements: Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation: Must be able to work in a fruit / nut allergen facility. Must be able to sit for 6+ hours per shift. Must be able to balance, bend, crouch, kneel, stand, stoop, and walk for 3+ hours per shift. Must be able to reach above shoulders, climb, and work off ladder for 3+ hours per shift. Must be able to work in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environment. Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation for 6+ hours per shift. Must be able to push, pull, and feel for 3+ hours per shift. Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds for up to 3 hours per shift.
