Sr Program Controls Specialist
The Senior Program Controls Specialist is responsible for overseeing program control functions, including budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and reporting on project performance. This role typically requires collaboration with project teams, management, and stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. In this role, you will report directly to our Sr Program Controls Manager and work out of our Houston, TX location on a hybrid work schedule. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES + Cost Management: + Develop and maintain program budgets and forecasts. + Monitor expenditures against budgeted amounts and provide variance analysis. + Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and accounted for. + Reporting: + Prepare regular reports on program performance, including cost reports, schedule forecasts, and milestone tracking. + Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders. + Project Controls: + Establish and implement project control processes and tools. + Track project progress and performance metrics. + Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. + Collaboration: + Work closely with project managers and team members to support project execution. + Assist in the development of project schedules and timelines. + Compliance and Governance: + Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as external regulations. + Participate in audits and reviews to assess program controls. YOU MUST HAVE + Extensive experience in program controls, project management, or financial analysis. + Proficiency in project management software and tools (such as Primavera, MS Project, etc.). + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. WE VALUE + Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, business administration, or a related field. + A certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or cost management (CCMP). + Experience in the energy sector or similar industries can be a plus.
