Sr Program Scheduler

An experienced Program Scheduler who provides training and support to the Program Schedulers and ensures the admissions process is upheld and trained in accordance with VITAS’ operational standards and guidelines.

Serves as an Admissions standard, policies, procedures, and industry subject-matter expert and resource.

Position structure Reports to Program’s Admission Manager Leadership Exceeds performance and expectations of a Program Scheduler and can complete the referral and admissions processes to coordinate the admission of eligible patients Motivate fellow Program Schedulers and function as a positive role model Monitor and oversee employee performance during probationary period and their response to training Strategy Support the Admission Manager, Admissions Resources, Program Staff, and Program Leadership Team with VITAS initiatives Customer Motivate fellow Program Schedulers and function as a positive role model Advocate for internal and external relationships to maintain positive customer experience and ensure continued referrals MAKM Report employee performance and response to training during their probationary period to Program Leadership Team and Admissions Training Team, as needed Workforce Oversight and ensured adherence to standards in the areas of: Program Scheduler performance Operations Complete all company and role-specific trainings assigned Results Support a collaborative approach in achieving Program, Region, and National Admissions related metrics as they relate to Program Schedulers

QUALIFICATIONS

Current experience as a VITAS Healthcare Program Scheduler or Admissions Coordinator for a period of no less than 24 months. Current experience as a VITAS Healthcare Program Scheduler trainer preferred. Manager recommendation required. Ability to function as a proficient and experienced Program Scheduler and fulfill all duties and responsibilities without constant oversite–and overcome obstacles. Must possess critical thinking and decision making skills that supports VITAS Healthcare’s Standards. Experience with training, directing or overseeing others in learning new processes. Experience with supervising the Admissions process under the guidance of the Admissions Manager. Understanding of effective teaching tools and methods. Must possess strong communication skills, good listening skills, accountability. Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to travel as requested

EDUCATION

High school diploma, or equivalent Associate degree or higher in healthcare related field preferred Bilingual preferred
