Sr Project Manager

As a Senior Project Portfolio Manager, you are responsible for coordinating project and program resources engaged with all initiatives within the selected functional area portfolio.
+ The Sr. Portfolio Manager is a primary trusted advisor within the PMO, providing thought leadership on the direction of key initiatives.
+ Additionally, the Sr. Portfolio Manager participates in project/program-related steering committees, and reports to the Director, PMO.
+ The position is responsible for senior executive engagement and reporting on the state and performance of initiatives within the selected functional area portfolio.
+ A successful portfolio manager will influence program and roadmaps for key initiatives within the portfolio, facilitating trade-off discussions with senior leadership to maximize available resources.
+ Will work within Global, Regulatory, and Strategic Compliance
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
+ 8+ years as a project manager within the financial industry or for a large financial institution
+ Understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework.
+ Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
+ Understanding of how to distill large volumes of information into consumable portions that allow for nimble decision-making.
+ Ability to influence outcomes and minimize and address conflict.
+ Ability to manage large scale, complex project initiatives and various project elements. simultaneously, with high attention to detail and accuracy, meeting deadlines despite competing priorities.
+ Possesses solid analytical, problem solving, and critical / creative thinking skills.
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, and ability to build and maintain relationships with peers and business support partners.
+ Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with experience presenting to Senior Leadership.
+ Proven ability to operate in ambiguous environments and exhibit agility in navigating from current state to proposed solutions.
+ Comfortable moving between the tactical and strategic, with the ability to adjust the approach and messaging to suit the audience
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
