Summarized Purpose:
Leads the preparation of sophisticated, compelling proposals and responses to client requests for information (RFIs) in alignment with company commercial strategy. Prepares and reviews text, graphics and data that describe value-added differentiators, creating documents that accurately and consistently position the organization’s services, products, and expertise as the optimal choice for project award.
Essential Functions:
Develops compelling, client-ready text, data, and graphics that effectively address client's requests and best position the company as the top choice for client award.
Liaises with subject matter experts to establish project-specific (therapeutic, client, system etc.) context, gather feedback, and refine content.
Evaluates information and final deliverables to ensure response meets client's request and follows up with contributors as needed.
Authors library content and drives the creation of data repositories for team members to use on proposal and RFI responses.
Establishes best practices for other team members to follow and ensures a high quality standard on documents created across the team through quality control checks.
Manages creation and maintenance of internal intranet pages housing proposal/RFI resources and provides technical support on tools used for proposal development.
May mentor and coach junior team members
Manage advanced and strategic RFIs, which may require not only subject matter expert (SME) input, but also rewording or crafting a message within the opportunity.
Modify PowerPoint decks, including updating graphics and making small changes to help convey a winning strategy.
Handle multi-tab Excel documents containing information from various departments or business units.
Collaborate with a team of 0-20 SMEs to ensure the successful completion of complex opportunities, balancing the need for thoroughness with efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage expertise and resources for RFI development.
Work on initiatives to bring efficiencies.

Supervision Received:
Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Business Relationships:
Represents the department as a prime contact on projects. Interacts with internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between functional areas. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years), preferably with some experience in proposal management.
In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Working Conditions and Environment:
Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
Occasional drives to site locations with occasional travel both domestic and international.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.
Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
Frequent mobility required.
Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
Frequently interacts with others to obtain or relate information to diverse groups.

Salary Transparency
The salary range estimated for this position is $75,000 - $85,000. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
