Sr QC Specialist

Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **What You'll Be Doing** + Oversee QC for 9 HMA plants + Provide technical guidance and support to ~8 indirect reports + Monitor/manage day to day compliance with specifications/targets + Heavy engagement with QC Techs on testing, customer complaints, statistical tracking + Perform hands-on lab work as required (Tech shortage, etc.) + Must be available as required for nights/weekends (assuming this will be salaried position) + Engage with Operations, Sales and Construction on product quality, bid specifications, etc. + Annual update of state required PennDOT QC plans, also ensure compliance throughout year + Oversite of daily DOT certifications + Identify continuous improvement opportunities (product and yield optimization) + Implementing required standards, processes in HM labs + Implement corrective action for any deficiencies found in labs or Technicians + Training and development of new Technicians **What Are We Looking For** + PennDOT HMA Level 1 and Level 2 Technician certification preferred.
