LOCATION: Des Plaines, IL
The annual base salary range for this position is $108,000 - $125,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•\tSupport and lead the research and development of air purification, catalysis, thermal management, and fuel cell technologies that provide competitive advantages at the component and system levels
•\tWork with cross-functional R&D, engineering, manufacturing teams to drive the development of key technologies from early design to commercialization
•\tDesign, build, and test chemicals, materials, subsystem prototypes as well as gas and liquid test stands
•\tAnalyze data to find critical factors and gain a fundamental understanding of science behind key technologies
•\tCommunicate results to project leads, leadership, and customers
•\tComplete tasks within planned schedule and budget
•\tBecome a subject matter expert and generate intellectual property through the submission of invention disclosures
•\tSupport customer relationships & external funding opportunities through presentations, meetings, and proposal writing
•\tWork with customers to understand and refine their technical requirements and business needs into achievable technology and product roadmaps
•\tContribute to our world-class safety and environmental stewardship program by always operating in a safety-conscious manner
•\tApply learning and knowledge to multiple product lines
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
•Experience in Materials Science

•Ability to analyze and solve challenging problems across multiple technologies
•Ability to collaborate virtually in global teams across time zones
•Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
