Sr R&D Manager – Hydroprocessing Development
An excellent career opportunity is currently available for the Senior R&D Manager within Honeywell UOP’s Research and Development organization located in Des Plaines, IL. This position provides a unique opportunity to lead a team of scientists and engineers in the development and delivery of new hydrocracking, hydrotreating and co-processing technology solutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop robust technology development strategies with business leaders to ensure hydroprocessing technology area is well positioned for near-term and long-term growth.Lead and manage the execution of the annual hydroprocessing technology development portfolio to achieve technology delivery commitments while keeping within project budgets.Engage with business and cross functional leaders to deliver on revenue and margin commitments from new products.Lead and manage the execution of hydroprocessing development transformation initiatives to drive efficiency improvements to accelerate the delivery of new product introductions.Lead the development and execution of the hydroprocessing technology IP strategy as well as the monitoring and analysis of competitor activities.Provide technical leadership on alliance and joint development projects with external partners.The formation of high performing, inclusive and diverse teams.YOU MUST HAVEBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics5 years of experience in Research & DevelopmentWE VALUEStrong understanding of chemistry/chemical engineering fundamentals and application in process and catalyst technology developmentStrong business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset to accelerate technology development in a fast-paced environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsProficiency in developing networks & building relationshipsFlexibility to work across cultures and time zonesAbility to develop & deliver high impact presentations both internally and externally including effectively managing the customer interfaceAbility to lead, motivate, develop, and mentor othersAdditional InformationJOB ID: HRD261856Category: EngineeringLocation: 8400 Joliet Rd,McCook,Illinois,60525-1517,United StatesExempt
