They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments. **About the role:** The Sr Refrigeration Field Service Engineer, under direct and indirect supervision, supports the operations of the Service Department both in the field and occasionally in the shop, in service, repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance of refrigerated (and some non-refrigerated) scientific equipment including freezers, refrigerators, lyophilizers, vacuum pumps, and other types of equipment.. Assists with customer service needs and work order management. Directly reports to the Area Service Supervisor. Works closely with fellow technicians, Administrative Staff, and Project Managers. Primary work focus: meeting customer service needs. **What you'll do:** Field Responsibilities: + The incumbent is required to perform repairs, preventative maintenance, installations, and shop infrastructure work as needed. + Assist other technicians and staff as needed. Work may include pick-up and delivery of equipment, field service, shop service/repairs, calibration, and preventative maintenance of refrigerated (and some non-refrigerated) scientific equipment including freezers, refrigerators, lyophilizers, vacuum pumps, and other types of equipment. + Provide support for servicing customers’ specialty equipment in shop. + May be required to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and “on-call” as needed. Technical Support: This may include physical involvement in the field repair or diagnosis of equipment. Foster a positive work relationship with clients, vendors and co-workers. Maintain labor and material costing requirements on all jobs. Bring escalated customer issues to the attention of the Area Service Supervisor. Support the goals of the Service department to achieve installation, sales and collection budgets on weekly/monthly basis. The minimum salary for the Sr Refrigeration Field Service Engineer position is $75,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $100,000 annually.
