Sr Reimbursement Analyst

*Description*
*Summary:*
Responsible for all third-party reporting, with special emphasis on cost reporting, Government filings, and reserve levels.
*Responsibilities:*
1.Prepares all third-party cost reports with the goal of optimizing allowable reimbursement in compliance with state and federal regulations as well as assists with the preparation of the state's OHS filing.
2.Performs detailed reviews of third-party settlements, making appropriate adjustments, and properly recording reserves.
3.Participate in third party audits, providing work papers and further support to applicable audit teams
4.Prepares, organizes, and presents all arguments and appeals to the Fiscal Intermediary, the Provider Reimbursement Review Board, NYS, OHS and the OIG.
5.Reviews Medicare audit reports to seek opportunities for adjustments or appeals.
6.Works with Medicaid auditors to clear annual audit questions.
7.Prepares and reviews surveys from federal and state agencies.
8.Prepares all necessary analysis and back-up for year-end audit.
9.Maintains knowledge of changing healthcare issues and regulations regarding revenue enhancement.
10.Assists in preparation, analysis and filing of quarterly and yearly reports to the state and regulatory agencies. Assists with any questions.
11.Supports the finance area with special projects as required.
12.Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
13.Performs other duties as assigned
*Minimum Experience*: Reimbursement experience, Hospital Finance experience, Excel
Desired: Medicare Audit experience
