Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Engineer to lead research, analysis, and development efforts in C4ISR systems integration and autonomous technologies. The Senior Research Engineer will focus on designing, developing, and integrating advanced technologies to ensure system security, cyber-resiliency, and operational effectiveness across a range of defense applications.
Key Responsibilities:
C4ISR Systems Integration:
Research, analyze, and assess integration of C4ISR and sensor systems and subsystems.Develop prototype deployable communications, datalink, and sensor systems.Implement and verify communication capability between devices, databases, and services with Government approval.Cybersecurity and Resilience:
Assess system security and cyber-resiliency throughout the life cycle of C4ISR systems.Develop recommendations for security controls, vulnerability assessments, and risk mitigation strategies.Research and recommend a standardized framework for C4ISR products and cyber operations reporting.Autonomous Technologies:
Conduct analysis and development for new or improved autonomous systems and technologies.Develop engineering plans, system design plans, and requirements analysis for unmanned capabilities.Research and recommend communication networking and infrastructure strategies for autonomous systems.R&D and Engineering Analysis:
Perform research and development in open architecture, sensor integration, network design, and data processing.Conduct engineering analysis, AoAs, and risk mitigation recommendations for hardware and software integration.Collaborate with Government designers and engineers to resolve design and implementation challenges.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field (Master's degree preferred).13+ years of experience in C4ISR systems integration, cybersecurity, and autonomous technologies.Strong expertise in open architecture, sensor integration, network design, and data processing.Experience with rapid prototyping, testing, and field deployment of communications and sensor systems.Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, vulnerability assessments, and risk management strategies.Individual may require 8140 / 8570 baseline certifications based on actual job duties.Active Secret clearanceContract Award expected Summer 2024. Positions are contingent upon award and funding.

Basic Compensation:
$117,990 - $176,985
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
