Molecular Products, Inc., a global leader in chemically-based technology solutions for processing, storage, and purification of air and gases, is seeking a Senior Research Scientist to contribute to the development of new and innovative products. Reporting to the R&D Manager, the candidate will be responsible for assigned new product development programs and provide technical support to other company functions. The emphasis is on gas processing and storage catalysts used for cryogenic and other gas treatment applications. This full-time position is located at our Louisville, Colorado facility.
Pay range: $110,000-$130,000 annually
Responsibilities
New Product Development: Apply scientific knowledge and experience in material science to the development of new sorbents, catalyst materials and oxygen generators that advance technology and performance. Participate in writing grant proposals.
Research Management: Use experience in project management to take independent responsibility for assigned development programs, collaborating with other staff in R&D, Engineering, Production and Marketing. Clear focus on delivering results within a project schedule is required.
Commercialization: Scale up successful developments to production-ready processes and materials. Engage Engineering, Production and Quality in scale up and validation of new materials, providing product knowledge and expertise to the commercialization process.
Communication: Actively participate in department and project team meetings, leading assigned projects. Prepare scheduled progress reports for management and communicate progress against goals. Professional and effective external communication with customers, suppliers, government agencies and contractors as required by program actions. This scientist works closely with all departments, especially R&D, Engineering, Production and Quality to coordinate project activities that may impact or be impacted by other departments.
Key Deliverables:
