To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Sr Revenue Accounting Manager located in Austin, TX or San Jose CA.
Reporting to the Director, Technical Accounting & Revenue Recognition, the Sr Revenue Accounting Manager will responsible for leading the revenue accounting for a global, public manufacturing company with $26 billion in revenue. The role manages a team of three direct reports, with responsibilities including customer contract reviews for ASC 606 revenue recognition, management of all technical accounting queries related to inventory and revenue, and direct collaboration with the business operations and M&A organizations to assist in evaluating the accounting related to potential new or amended customer arrangements, acquisitions, divestitures, and investment opportunities. The role will support the Chief Accounting Officer’s organization with leadership and participation in other projects and research as needed.
In addition, this role will lead high-profile projects to enhance and automate the company’s revenue accounting processes and drive increased business intelligence..
What a typical day looks like:
Lead the revenue accounting functions for a global public company.Manage and develop a high-performing revenue team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and strategic decision-making.Maintain, develop, and update revenue accounting and related policies and procedures.Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, providing commentary and analytics on critical accounts.The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
U.S. CPA required.Minimum 8 – 10 years’ experience, including 5+ years’ experience at a Big 4 public accounting firm. Strong ASC 606 experience. 3+ years in People Leadership / Managerial role.Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, effectively collaborating with senior management, external auditors, and various departments while representing the controller’s group.Possess a solid understanding of US GAAP and its application, with the ability to summarize technical accounting matters and revenue recognition issues for non-technical stakeholders.Exhibit excellent time management and organizational skills, maintaining composure and efficiency during high-pressure reporting periods.Proven track record in leading and developing a team, fostering a collaborative work environment, and independently researching issues to propose resolutions to the director.What you’ll receive for the great work you provide:
