We are seeking a Senior Safety Manager to join our team in Sacramento, CA. The Sr Safety Manager will be responsible for implementing and maintaining comprehensive safety programs. This role ensures compliance with OSHA regulations while supporting a culture of safety excellence through effective program execution and continuous improvement. This role will have a strong field presence, providing real-time guidance, mentorship, and oversight to teams while maintaining strong safety performance across the region.

The Role

Implement and maintain corporate safety policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with organizational standards, OSHA regulations, and industry best practicesExecute and oversee safety audits, inspections, and investigations across multiple sitesRespond to and investigate safety incidents, near-misses, and accidents, implementing immediate corrective actionsDocument site safety observations, violations, and next steps in internal safety management systemCoordinate and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels.Ensure compliance with location-specific safety regulations and maintain organizational adherence to state and federal requirementsAct as liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections and maintain positive relationships with Cal/OSHA representativesExecute emergency response procedures and maintain emergency preparedness for high-risk activitiesSupervise site safety representatives and partner with local operations teams to provide coaching and mentorship of personnel on proper safety proceduresParticipate in the management of workers' compensation cases, including incident investigations, and return-to-work programsSupport new project startups with safety orientation and site-specific safety planningEnsure compliance with safety reporting requirements and standardsTravel throughout assigned region to support multiple project sites and teamsSupervise, mentor, and support field safety team members Requirements 8+ years of experience in safety management, with at least 4 years in telecommunications or construction industryBachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Construction Management or related field preferredCSP, ASP, GSP, CHST, ARM, or NATE certifications a plusOSHA 500 or 510 preferredCPR/First Aid/AED certifiedExtensive knowledge of OSHA, DOT, NFPA, & NESC regulations, labor laws, and telecommunications/construction industry safety standardsExperience with safety management software and data analyticsExperience implementing safety programs Proven track record of successful safety program implementation and maintenanceExcellence in written and verbal communicationBilingual in English and Spanish a plusMulti-state safety program management experienceAbility to travel +/- 50% annually and availability for emergency responses as needed Valid driver’s licensePassing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
