Job DescriptionAs an Expert systems analyst specializing in Quality Management at Jack Link’s, you will be an integral part of a team that is transforming the protein snacks industry and making a global impact through technological innovation. Responsibilities
Requirements Analysis and Gathering:
Engage with Quality/Food Safety & Operations stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate them into detailed technical requirements.Advise on the formulation of IT solutions for Quality/Food Safety Operations, leveraging a deep understanding of the function's challenges and opportunities.Conduct in-depth analysis to define system scope and objectives for complex system implementations and enhancements.Configuration and Optimization:
Configure Quality/Food Safety (SAP QM, Pillir) Solutions to meet business requirements, focusing on multiple Quality Inspection, Food Safety and Traceability functionalities.Optimize system settings and performance to ensure smooth and efficient operations.System Enhancements:
Identify opportunities for system enhancements and lead the implementation of these improvements.Collaborate with developers to design and test custom solutions that extend the capabilities of Quality and Food Safety Solutions.Propose and implement application system enhancements to streamline Quality operations and decision-making processes.Leadership, Communication and Collaboration:
Act as a project leader and subject matter expert within the IT team for Quality Management and Food Safety functions.Collaborate with Business Relationship Managers and Product Managers to support strategic and innovative operations initiatives with business stakeholders.Actively engage in discussions on options, risks, and benefits of IT solutions and their impact on business processes and priorities.Facilitate effective communication between IT and Operations teams to ensure clear understanding and alignment of system capabilities and business processes.Integration and Support:
Oversee integration efforts to ensure seamless operation between Quality Operations Solutions and other business-critical systems.Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Quality Solutions, acting as a point of escalation for complex issues.Continuous Improvement:
Monitor system performance and user feedback to identify areas for continuous improvement.Implement best practices in system maintenance and updates to drive efficiency and reliability.QualificationsRequired Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.Required Experience:
7+ years of experience as a Quality Analyst or similar role.4+ years of experience as an SAP Systems Analyst or similar role, with a strong focus on warehouse operations.Demonstrated experience in Quality system configuration and optimization.Solid understanding of supply chain processes and how they integrate with SAP.Advanced knowledge of Quality/Food Safety Operations solutions (SAP QM, Pillir) with a focus on modules relevant to Inspections, Lab Equipment, Traceability, and Batch Management.Proficiency in the food manufacturing process, inclusive of production line supply and batch traceability.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address system challenges.Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex information clearly and concisely.Creating business relevant artifacts: business/functional requirements, process diagramming and mapping, use cases, application design documentation/specifications, test cases and test plans.Experience gathering and communicating business needs and functional requirements using one or more of the following: High Level Requirements, Use Cases, Test Cases, User Stories, Business Process Models, Wireframes.Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple deadlines, work independently, and define problems as they arise.Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage projects and initiatives effectively.High degree of proficiency in process optimization and system configuration.Experience with leading system upgrades, integrations, and enhancements.Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative team approach.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment.Preferred:
SAP or Six Sigma certificationAdditional InformationThe salary range for this role is $89,900 - 123,640 (Annually). Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. Base pay is just one component of Jack Link’s Total Rewards package for Team Members. Other rewards may include annual incentive and program-specific awards.
