SharePoint Architect, Hands on Developer

The SharePoint Architect / Developer will play a central role in the complete project and solution lifecycle including both designing and implementing solutions. This role also focuses heavily on software architecture, development, customization, and integration. This role involves hands-on SharePoint Development.
The ideal candidate will provide leadership on best practices for architectural design, understand the Microsoft SharePoint technology and solution stack, and have a thorough understanding of enterprise application design, development and integration involving business process and forms, Business Intelligence, collaboration, CRM, Enterprise Content Management, and Portals. This person will lead architecture and design reviews for Enterprise Collaboration projects that focus on planning, deploying, and targeting new or significant modifications of existing enterprise SharePoint implementations.

This role requires a proven technical skillset that has been demonstrated in the development of enterprise Line of Business Applications and their integration into various enterprise systems. Expert level knowledge and practical experience with SharePoint, Power Shell, Microsoft .NET Framework, web application development, client-side development, IIS, and other related technologies must also be proven.
Responsibilities:

· Handle all architectural application design and development for migration of SharePoint.

· Participate in the gathering and documenting of requirements from non-technical business users as well as technical users.

· Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing effective procedures and systems requirements that meet business requirements.

· Create functional and technical design documents, translate business requirements into system requirements, create Corporate solutions, demo and train users, and implement solutions.

· Design, develop, document, and deploy all existing forms of SharePoint solutions and apps.

· Advises on issues of systems integration, compatibility, scalability and multiple platforms

· Share best practices with internal team members and clients

· Deployed solutions to SharePoint manually and via Power Shell

· Proactively monitor and troubleshoot SharePoint using SharePoint log files and other diagnostic tools

· Develop web services to be consumed from SharePoint


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Desired Skills and Experience:

· B.S. in Computer Science, related fields or commensurate work experience

· 5+ years experience with business information systems integration or custom business application design and development in a professional technology consulting, corporate MIS or software development environment.

· 3+ years architecting and implementing SharePoint farm infrastructure and topologies, design and architect solutions utilizing the SharePoint framework; may include build versus buy analysis and decisions.

· Advanced development knowledge and experience with the SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 2010 (Hands-on project experience with SharePoint 2013 is strongly desired).

· MVC and modern web development experience (.NET, C#, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Agile, Bootstrap, CSS3, CAML, XSLT, AJAX, etc.)

· Deep expertise in programming within the .NET Framework stack of technologies

· Experience configuring and tuning IIS 7 and above
