As a Sr Software Developer NGTS you will support the Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) development team and training device owners in a wide array of responsibilities. NGTS is a highly advanced virtual training system offering Navy and Air Force pilots the ability to train in a mission setting. The Next Generation Threat System product is a continually evolving synthetic environment generator that supports multiple platform/services training, testing, analysis and research, and development.
*** This is a Hybrid Opportunity - after initial on site training, expectation is 1/2 days a week onsite***
Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a DoD Secret scurity clearance
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties include, but not limited to:

Develop software for an advanced synthetic training environment. This software is integrated into flight simulators to support pilot training against potential threats. Support software development, software integration, customer training and demonstrations.Demonstrates a knowledge of standard programming algorithms, design patterns, and object-oriented software designEvaluates and review C++ language code Programming using C++, Python 3, HTMLDevelops Parallel processes, threading, process communicationDevelops Web-based applications using development technologyCollaborates with team members to design future enhancementsMust have familiarity with time-series analysis a plus RequirementsMinimum Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
The required skills and knowledge include:
Experience with scripting, database, and programming languages such C++.
Ability to communicate and present technical details both written and verbally.Must have the ability to accommodate a hybrid schedule (1-2 days a week in office) with a mandatory 2-3 month on site training period.The minimum years of related experience required:
10 years of relevant work experience as a Software Developer
Education
The minimum level of education required is:
BS in Computer Science or Engineering.
Degrees in Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or Aerospace, Computer, Software Systems, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering may qualify with at least 10 year of C++ experience
Desired Requirements
The desired skills, knowledge, and education include:
Experience with scripting, database, and programming in Python 3, and HTML.
Experience support Special Access Program (SAP) efforts.
Other Qualifications
Outside of the above, other certifications, licenses, or clearances include:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
