Sr Software Engineer
Support Center - Irving

The Sr. Developer will be responsible for design and development. Must be able to work independently to function as a liaison between the business community and the technical community in support of development of code for the application. Responsibilities include translating business requirements into specific system requirements and providing technical knowledge, leadership and support. Also support the Business team in getting day-to-day users issues resolved on timely manner.

Techno-Functional Senior Engineer with Retail and Blue Yonder experience specifically on the Merchandise planning and Inventory Management applications Space & Floor Planning, Category Management, Demand Planning, Forecasting, Fulfillment, Allocation and Replenishment.

Strong understanding of Retail Merchandising Business processes and operations.Software Engineering Experience working with the Blue Yonder (JDA) solutions specifically on some or all of these software Space & Floor Planning, Category Management, Demand Planning, forecasting, fulfillment, and Replenishment.Deep Hands-on expertise of configurations, implementations, Upgrades, troubleshooting and support of Blue Yonder solutions.Hands on Experience with Blue Yonder platforms with ability to create and modify extensions to personalize features or functions based on Retailer needs.Contribute to the functional design of standardized business use cases utilizing the latest capabilities offered by the recent Blue Yonder solutions & offerings.Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to Merchandising, Planning and Inventory Management systems.Contributes to Functional and technical roadmaps of the organization partnering with product teams and key Business stakeholders.Experience programming with SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, Python, PowerShell, Shell scripting, Rest APISoftware Development experience in Java, Spring, Spring boot, SQL and No SQL databases, API and knowledge in Cloud technologies would be preferred.Experience with Data Modeling and Database Design.Technical background with experience in installing, tuning, and deploying applications on Aix, Linux, Windows, and/or Cloud InfrastructureExperience developing services, applications on any cloud platform (GCP, AWS, Azure, Oracle) would be nice to have.Previous Work Experience implementing applications/solutions in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure(OCI) would be preferred.Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts into clear and actionable recommendations.Independently design application components based on requirement specifications.Participate in requirements discussions with business and suggest optimal and efficient technology solutions.Gains understanding of the systems utilizing, conducts research and fact finding to solve business problems and meet the business needs.Independently develop application components as per design specifications.Apply industry defined programming standards for development.Develop and execute functional tests to ensure BY software consistently meets the Business objectives.Perform code reviews and guide other developers on best practices.Participates in architectural reviews.Lead version control and release management processes.Lead development environment management.Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.Support other developers in meeting deadlines.Provide L2/L3 support for his/her application.Communicate timely with business users on issue analysis and resolution.Lead the analysis and resolution for business impacting critical issues.Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies for team and business. Implement changes to achieve improvements.Keep enhancing his/her technical and domain skills through self-learning.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s DegreeComputer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or Finance

5+ years progressive work experience, within a retail environment5+ years of technology experience, including troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis of complex IT solutions3+ years of project management experience
