Candidates must work at Melville office.IT OperationsDaily duties include but not limited to: Monitoring system schedules to ensure all processes are meeting deadlines for completionRespond to Network and system monitoring alerts .Oversee 3rd party vendorMaintenance vendors while performing work in the Data Center Participate in shift turnover process at the beginning and end of each shiftRecord daily turnover log for submission to Data Center ManagementResponsible for following process and procedures : Responsibility of documentation and turnover to next shiftResponsible to monitor email, alerting tools and response/report/escalate per SLAs12 hour Night shift rotation shift is requiredHoliday work Schedule is requiredVacation request notice in advance is requiredOn-call Coverage is requiredDriving is required.Team player as well as a self-starter with minimum directionRequired Skills (Technical Competency):
Microsoft Word and Excel competence requiredPhysical requirements - ability to lift up to 50 poundsExcellent verbal and written skillsExperience with system monitoring tools HP Openview preferred. Familiar with Unix (AIX and HP-UX), Windows 2008, VMWARE and AS400 operating systems.Ability to handle multiple issues with a professional attitudeDocument system issues accuratelyEscalate issues to appropriate support staff as per guidelines
