Aerojet Rocketdyne, our site near Culpeper, VA, in beautiful, rural Orange County (1.5 hours from Washington, DC) is growing! This site is our center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development as well as high-complexity production programs.

We are seeking a Senior Specialist Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Engineer(Safety Engineer) to join our growing facility in Culpeper, Virginia.

Essential Functions:

Work performed under limited supervision.  Must be experienced in OSHA 1910 General Industry.Perform hazard analysis and risk assessments.Assists in accident investigations and recommends corrective actions.Conduct routine audits and inspections to identify and eliminate non-compliance issues.Manage projects related to energetics and safety; including participation in incident investigation, risk management, and process hazard analysis.Conduct training and communication campaigns to raise site-wide awareness.Serve as interface and liaisons with employees, manager, customers, auditors, and regulators.Some travel required
