Sr Specialist, Minimum Equipment List (MEL) Programs

Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board! **Why you'll love this job** + ​This job is a member of the Maintenance Operations Control Team within the Integrated Operations Division. + ​Responsible for the administration of the various fleet deferral and tracking programs. **What you'll do** + ​Develops MMEL, AFM, NEF list and TAC list proposed changes for input into the associated AA manuals, in compliance with FAA and Company requirements + Coordinates the in-house review of proposed revisions to the AA MEL, CDL, NEF and TAC lists with Flight Operations, Dispatch, Inflight Service and Engineering; other internal workgroups as necessary + Prepares and submits the internally approved MEL revision to the FAA; when applicable coordinate additional change(s) when required throughout the FAA review and approval process + Prepares the FAA approved MEL revision, the in-house approved CDL revision, and/or the revision to the NEF or TAC into the appropriate electronic format. Coordinate the distribution, installation, and effective date and time with all applicable departments + Revises and maintains the MEL, CDL, NEF and TAC databases in the applicable SABRE and SCEPTRE system(s); accomplishes periodic audits of the databases for accuracy of content + Represents the Company at Industry, FAA, A4A and FOEB Meetings when appropriate **All you'll need for success** **Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience** + ​High School diploma or GED equivalency + FAA A&P License + 5 years experience working with MOC, FOEB/ MMEL processes and/or Regulatory Affairs + 5-10 years of indutrsy experience **Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience** + ​Associate'sdegree in related field **Skills, Licenses & Certifications** + ​Knowledge of Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives and modification configurations + Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. **What you'll get** Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: + Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
