**Job Description:**
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Provide expert-level 24/7 support for production systems and applications, ensuring their optimal performance and availability.
+ Monitor system performance and respond to incidents promptly, following established procedures for resolution.
+ Perform and oversee routine maintenance tasks, including backups, patching, and updates.
+ Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to deploy new releases and updates, ensuring minimal disruption.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to application performance, database connectivity, and server configurations.
+ Document support activities, incidents, and resolutions in the ticketing system, ensuring knowledge transfer within the team.
+ Participate in and lead shift rotations, ensuring continuous support coverage.
+ Implement and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks using Python Scripting and Shell Scripting.
+ Administer and support web applications developed using JavaScript, Java/JSP (webapp).
+ Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
+ Contribute to the development and improvement of operational procedures and best practices.
**Shift:** Rotational Shifts (24/7 Support)
**Technical Skills:**
+ Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Perl, Java, Python, JavaScript, Maven, PHP, Node.js, and Shell Scripting.
+ Strong knowledge of frontend technologies including JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, Dojo Toolkit, and Java/JSP (webapp).
**Backend:**
+ Experience with backend technologies and servers such as Apache, Apache/HP-PPM Tool, Tomcat, WildFly, and JBOSS.
**Database:**
+ Extensive experience with database management systems like Oracle, SQL, MS SQL, JDBC, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
**Ticketing Tools:**
+ Proficiency with ticketing tools such as JIRA and BMC Remedy.
**Version Control:**
+ Proficiency with version control tools such as SVN, Codecloud, iCode, MavenCentral, and GitHub.
**Operating Systems:**
+ Experience working with various operating systems including Linux, Windows, and Unix.
**Cloud:**
+ Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
**Other Tools:**
+ Familiarity with tools such as IBM TDI, SNMP, IBM Case Manager, IBM Content Navigator, IBM Filenet P8, IBM WebSphere, Artifact Management, DORA Metrics, and Vulnerability Management.
**DevOps:**
+ Strong understanding and hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices including Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, NGINX, JFrog, and Chef.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
+ 9+ years of experience in operations support, system administration, or a similar role.
+ Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
+ Extensive experience with database management and administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
+ Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (Java, PHP, JavaScript, Python, Shell).
+ Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
+ Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins) and configuration management tools (Terraform, Chef).
+ Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues under pressure.
+ Excellent communication and leadership skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
+ Willingness to work in a rotational shift environment, including nights and weekends.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with web application development and support.
+ Knowledge of production operations best practices.
+ Previous experience in a 24/7 support environment.
+ Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Azure, Kubernetes, DevOps).
