Department OverviewAt Motorola Solutions, we help people be their best in moments that matter. The NOLA (North of Latin America) delivery Engineering team is responsible for implementing software and hardware solutions focused on Public safety and critical mission customers. We provide solutions to first responders' needs when a moment brings catastrophe. We also support regional and major City network's Public Safety Applications including two way radio systems , fixed and mobile video, CAD, 911, CCA, etc.
Job Description

The  Field Engineer is a systems integrator role within the Motorola Solutions - Delivery Engineering team which is responsible for deploying mission-critical public safety solutions across the NOLA Region. Our Field engineer works closely with our customers and project teams at various stages of project deployments as a subject matter expert for a variety of architecture and infrastructure solutions.

Our product integration includes applications, directory services, networking, security, servers, and storage across several hardware and virtualization platforms, RF solutions and optimization mostly with the international standards P25, Tetra and DMR, networking deployment, cyber security assessments.

This job also includes working with many internal and external deliverables such as documentation, system testing at a factory and field level, getting final customer acceptance. This role should be able to  lead installation and subcontractor teams, be a mentor for other Engineers and leading  complex projects.

Basic Requirements

College degree in Electronic or Telecommunications engineering, industry certifications, OR related work experience

At least 1 year Experience with installation, administration, optimization and troubleshooting of: 

Radio system(TETRA, P25 and DMR)

Database Servers, specifically with Microsoft SQL Server 

Server Operating Systems, specifically Windows and  LINUX

Network Switches, preferably HP, Juniper or Aruba.

Network deployment and design ( COMPTIA or Cisco certification is a Plus)

Firewalls and Routers, preferably with Fortinet Fortigate, Juniper and  Motorola GGM´s

Storage Systems (SAN\NAS\DAS)

Server Virtualization, specifically with VMWare ESXi v.6+ and\or Microsoft Hyper-V 2012+

Server Hardware, including blade servers

Fixed and mobile video solutions

Computing Aided  Dispatch systems

911 systems

Software solutions environments

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Leading skills

Certified experience leading or managing people 

Mother tongue Spanish, English level B2 or currently studying

Experienced in creating positive working relationships with customers.

This position requires 70% - 80% of travel. The candidate must reside in Ecuador.

Able to multitask effectively in fast-paced demanding mission-critical environments both as an individual contributor and team member.

Able to pass extensive criminal and\\or financial background checks as required by local, state, and federal organizations.
