Roles and Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for
Cloud Architecture & Implementation:
Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, and SQS.
Implement IoT solutions utilizing AWS IoT Core, Greengrass, and other relevant AWS IoT services.
Design and manage Kubernetes-based containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Develop and maintain backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Develop and manage infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
Automate deployment processes and ensure consistent environments across multiple stages and regions.
System Optimization & Troubleshooting:
Monitor and optimize cloud-based systems for performance, scalability, and security.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure and Java application issues.
Collaboration & Documentation:
Work closely with development, DevOps, and security teams to ensure cloud solutions meet business requirements.
Create and maintain detailed documentation including architecture diagrams, deployment scripts, and operational procedures.
Security & Compliance:
Implement best practices for cloud security, including IAM, VPC, and network security groups.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with the latest advancements in AWS, IoT, Kubernetes, IaC, and Java technologies.
Proactively suggest improvements and enhancements to existing systems and processes.
Mentorship & Guidance:
Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical direction and support.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth.
Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and promote best practices.
Education Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on Java, AWS, Kubernetes, IaC.
Experience:
Proven experience with AWS services (EKS, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, CloudWatch) and IoT technologies (AWS IoT Core, Greengrass).
Strong expertise in Kubernetes, Docker and strong working knowledge of SQL and NO-SQL databases.
Minimum 10 years experience in developing backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
