Job Title: YCI03H – Senior Statistical Programmer

Specific job duties:

Write, modify, and maintain programs, which produce data sets, tables, and listings for assigned projects.Validation and review of other programs.Prepare/review project documentation and/or memos for external communications in conjunction with the Project Manager.Assume responsibilities for data transfers, including documentation and correspondence with external vendors.Review Case Report Forms and help in the design of databases.Review Analysis Plans and provide feedback to the author(s).Mentor less experienced programmers.Project management tasks in conjunction with the Project Manager.Contribute towards process improvements.Act as technical consultant to other departments.Attend client meetings in conjunction with the Project Manager.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

BS/BA or equivalent preferredMinimum of 5 years of SAS programming experience or a comparable skill set; at least 3 years in the pharmaceutical industry as a Clinical/Statistical SAS ProgrammerExcellent understanding of and experience with:SAS/BaseSAS Macro FacilityDatabase design principlesGeneral statistical concepts and proceduresAny additional SAS modules as required by the specific job positionKnowledge of a word processing and a spreadsheet packageStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a project team
