Join our strategic team at Gilbane Building Company as we continue to evolve our vision to deliver best-in-class services for our clients.  We are currently seeking a Senior Strategic Sales Director (VP level).  This is a newly created and dynamic role, reporting into the head of our Global Sales and Marketing team.  The Sr Strategic Sales Director is accountable for the overall sales organization performance, the profitable achievement of sales goals, and alignment of sales objectives with the overall business strategy.

Responsibilities Optimize Enterprise Market Portfolio:Grow, maintain, and select market sector mix with a scalable approach through GBC geographical businesses, vertical markets, and services.Leads development of enterprise sales targets including gross profit margin on new sales, market sector mix, high quality backlog, and pipeline for future years.Drive an enterprise mindset for business development leadership and operations partners that focuses on enhancing total return on efforts. Create environment that supports disciplined and creative thinking around total return models.Client and Industry Partner Relationship Programs:Develop and implement enterprise programs that strengthen client and industry relationships to expand market share.Drive long-term sales growth with select clients, markets, and geographies.Create platforms for engagement that inform GBC’s broader strategy, deepen, and elevate client relationships, and create new sources of value with clients/sectors.Strategic Sales Performance:Differentiate GBC’s offering and value proposition in response to continuous competitor analysis and market conditions.Structure client and industry master service agreements to leverage GBC profit areas, terms and conditions, and enhanced performance incentives.Collaborate with business leadership and vertical sector leaders to align enterprise sales strategies to achieve targets.Build value-driven strategic relationships with key clients.Sales Training, Development, and Incentive Programs:Sets hiring policies for sales, business development, and support positions.Drive sales leadership succession planning across the enterprise. Maintains role context and performance expectations for high performing sales team.Directs sales training and development curriculum and delivers it across the enterprise.Maintains, updates, and administers incentive programs that align with business objectives.

Extensive Travel for this role will be required (50%+)

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing and communications or related field20+ years of experience in business development, sales, marketing and communicationsExperience and knowledge in the Built EnvironmentOr equivalent combination of education and experience

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.    
For Providence, RI this ranges from $252,000.00-346,500.00 plus benefits and retirement program.

For Chicago, IL this ranges from $264,000.00-363,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.

For Boston, MA and Arlington, VA (DC) this ranges from $280,800.00-$386,100.00 plus benefits and retirement program.

For New York City this ranges from $307,200.00-$422,400.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
