Job Title: Sr Support Engineer I

Scope:

•Core responsibilities to include WMS support (Onboard new customers/ Upgrades) for SaaS accounts hosted in cloud native (we use Azure)

•The team currently comprises of 300+ global associates across North America, Europe, India / LATAM (COE) and APAC and is expected to grow rapidly.

What you’ll do:

Assists other team members with benchmarking and sizing exercises.  Conducts technical analysis sessions with clients and/or the project team to understand the functional and technical needs of the client and develops technical solutions to meet those needs.   Provides a variety of technical support to the project team; including quality assurance/design review, environment setup, software installation, configuration, troubleshooting, system testing, programming, etc.  Provides technical expertise on development projects.  Works with appropriate parties to ensure issues are resolved.  Provides timely, appropriate level of communication with respect to the work assigned.  Works with project team to understand and help to refine and define project technical requirements from technical specifications. Diagnoses business and technical expectations on a project. Works with the appropriate parties to effectively estimate project timelines.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a person who has hands on experience in Blue Yonder WMS product (Desirable) and has working experience either in Implementation or product/application support role. In this role, the associate is expected to handle multiple projects of medium complexity in an independent manner working with the project teams and other Infrastructure teams in Cloud department. Having good working knowledge in WMS Discrete version 2011 and above is prefered. It is preferable if the candidate has worked in a more recent product version. Should be a self-motivated leader in his/her own sense.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Master’s degree in Computer Applications or other equivalent technical field or equivalent working experience.6– 10 years’ work experienceMust have proven capabilities in planning the project execution and assist the project managers in planning effort.The candidate should understand the enterprise integration methodologies with specific emphasis on real time systems integration using Files, webservices, socket communications, etcCandidate should possess sufficient knowledge of the various technical components involved in building a cloud environment – Operating system, RDBMS (Specifically SQL Server), Network, B2B Integration, DNS, File systems and Storage etc.Candidate should have basic understanding of non-functional requirements that are to be considered during project implementation phase and should be able to engage with the customers in defining the NFR requirements.Candidate should have advanced trouble shooting capabilities in dealing with a performance issue on the application deployed in Cloud. This includes but not limited to – Ability to generate and analyze a Application Traces, Have knowledge of command profilers, Working knowledge of interpreting performace reports and executions plans.Candidate should have good knowledge of various printing requirements and type of printers that are normally used in a warehouse and should be able to work with customer and guide them on the right solution.Should have proven expertise in understanding the criticality of the solution to the customers’ business and be able to provide appropriate solutions. E.G: Knowledge of working with Fashion retailers, 3PL companies etc.Should work as a liaison between Consulting, Support and Cloud Services to ensure smooth and efficient implementation and integration between technical and functional system requirements during on-boarding of new customers or during upgrades or patch updatesShould be able to work independently on technical issues. Good knowledge of apache, IIS, JBoss, Weblogic (any one of them) will be helpful.Provide hyper care support during go-live phase. This will require the associate to have good knowledge of the incident and problem management process.Proficient in Oracle SQL , PL/SQL , Shell scripting (UNIX, Perl), JavaProduct implementation cycle knowledgeCloud architecture basic knowledgeKnowledge of WMS conceptsAble to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, as project and system availability requirements demand.Open to work on a shift that includes working from on Satrday and Sunday.
