Summary:
This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of workers engaged in the hatching, pulling, vaccinating, and egg handling of Cobb eggs and chicks. The essential functions of this position include:

Experience: A college degree or equivalent experience with limited professional experience.Accountability Role: This is an entry-level professional position responsible for supervising an individual or small group of non-exempt team members (e.g., clerical, administrative, and production staff). Responsibilities include providing training, monitoring work quality, coaching team members on performance, and ensuring the quality of results produced by the team. The role requires the ability to work independently and evaluate alternatives under circumstances not covered by written procedures.Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office. Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals using available computer programs.Travel: Four or more domestic trips per year.Supervisory: Supervises a team of approximately 10 or more hourly team members.Biosecurity: The jobsite is a biosecurity environment requiring showering before entering the facility and potentially multiple showers during the workday. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the company. No jewelry, except for medical ID jewelry, may be worn on the jobsite. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds). The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times.Physical Requirements: Must use safe lifting techniques. While performing job duties, the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance, stoop, talk, or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Personal Protective Equipment Required: The team member is expected to follow required safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment.
