For more information, visit amwater.com and join American Water on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. _ *Primary Role*_ The Sr. Supervisor, Maintenance works in direct coordination with the operations staff and under the direction of the Sr Manager, Network Operations to oversee inspection activities, manages CMMS work orders, inventory control on spare parts / consumables, One Call Concepts (OCC) mark out services and fleet management as required in the CSG Services Agreement with the designated City or Township. _ *Key Accountabilities*_ * Responsible for overseeing the inspection of utility holes and stormwater inlets as per the CSG Services Agreement with the City/Township * Responsible for Fleet management including, prioritizing, coordinating and directing preventive, predictive and corrective vehicle maintenance and repair activities for both the American Water fleet and the rolling stock that belongs to the City/Township * Responsible for Pipe Network spare parts and consumables management including meter and meter parts. * Responsible for providing inspection oversight of developers and/or contractors performing utility work within the city’s water and wastewater service area. * Manages the logistics of all non-Customer Information System (“CIS”) work orders to ensure they are entered, assigned and closed timely in the CMMS system. * Oversees the utility locate and mark out program for the water and wastewater systems. * Accountable for achieving state, federal and local standards for water regulatory requirements. Ensures that all Human Resource, OSHA, Department of Labor notifications are displayed for all employees to view, checking periodically for compliance. * Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, compliance reports, and equipment logs. * On call duty approximately one week per month from Monday to Monday. * Performs other related functions as assigned. _ *Knowledge/Skills*_ * Awareness of local, state, and federal regulations governing water and wastewater, including environmental and safety standards. * Understanding of water and wastewater conveyance processes and hydraulics * Proficient in maintenance management software. * Sound business acumen and judgment. * Effective verbal and written communications skills (e.g., report writing, listening, and presentation). * Effective people management skills e.g., planning, organizing, recruiting, controlling and leading individual staff and teams. * Leadership presence e.g., ability to deal effectively and maintain cooperative working relationships with Company senior management and other key stakeholders. * Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., tact/diplomacy, persuasion, team building, cooperation, leadership, ability to motivate others. * Basic budget management and accounting knowledge. _ *Travel Requirements*_ * Local travel as required _ *Experience/Education*_ * High School graduate or equivalent. * Associates degree in Sanitary, Chemical Engineering or related discipline, preferred. * 8+ years of increasingly responsible experience in water, wastewater, commercial, industrial or water treatment industry. * Experience with various types and sizes of water and sewer pipes, fire hydrants and water meter parts are preferred. * Knowledge of motors and pumps, 3 phase high voltage motor controls, electrical construction, instrumentation, computer controls, SCADA, CMMS, PLC’s, VFD’s, ladder logic, and power distribution maintenance are prefered. * Experience with fleet management _ *Certifications & Licenses*_ * Valid Driver’s License * NJDEP T3 or W3 or C4 Operator Certification is preferred _ *Work Environment*_ * Standard indoor office and outside field environment. Will be working in adverse weather conditions such as excessive heat, dust and dirt. During the course of their duties, this role will be exposed to varying climatic conditions, potential exposure to trace amounts of treatment chemicals, and water.
